Brecon and Radnor demand better than Brexit

Tatton Liberal Democrats are celebrating the by-election victory over the border in Brecon and Radnor. Another nail in the coffin for Boris Johnson's Brexit plans.

  • A 14% swing to the Lib Dems, despite the Tories putting in massive resources, including a visit to the constituency by Boris Johnson just before polling day.
  • A demonstration that we and other parties (Greens and Plaid Cymru) can work together.
  • The government majority now reduced to just 1, and that's including the DUP.
  • Another Lib Dem MP in Wesminster: Jane Dodds, the winning candidate, who said in her acceptance speech:

"The people of this constituency have once again chosen hope over fear.

We demand better.

Welsh farmers and small business owners facing a no-deal Brexit demand better.

Working families relying on food banks to feed their children demand better

Young people who see politicians failing to tackle the climate emergency demand better."
