Ann Barlow

Ann has lived in Plumley for 33 years and has played an active part in the community during that time. A former parish councillor, she has a keen interest in ensuring that local developments take into account the nature of the surrounding environment. Having retired from a career in education, she is concerned about diminishing social care support impacting on the physical and mental well-being of local children. She has been a Lay Reader at St Oswald's Church, Lower Peover for over 20 years. She is married with two grown-up children and she and her husband have been active in Liberal Democrat campaigning since the inception of the party..

Handforth

Chris Fortune

A Handforth resident of many years, Chris is a former Police Officer who also has experience in the care sector as Team Leader at a residential home for children and young adults.

Chris’s frontline experience would be invaluable on Cheshire East Council, that has an appalling reputation for mismanagement, waste and poor decision making.

Knutsford

Chris Wetherell

Chris is a life-long Knutsford resident and at 26 years old is one of our younger  candidates. He hopes his youth can bring a fresh and vibrant perspective to the council.

As a history graduate, his passions include historical preservation, architecture and urban planning, which he intends to draw upon to ensure Knutsford retains its unique character. He also strongly believes in protecting te environment and is am ardent supporter of rewilding local ecosystems.

Key issues that Chris plans to address are improving traffic safety in the town centre, pushing for better transport links to neighbouring towns and fighting disproportionally large cuts to our local schools.
